Board-certified rheumatologist Qaiser Rehman, MD, welcomes patients to the Rheumatology Clinic of Houston, his private practice in Tomball, Texas. He treats all types of rheumatic diseases, with a specialization in arthritis, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disease, inflammatory vasculitis, muscle diseases, and metabolic bone conditions like osteoporosis.
Dr. Rehman received his medical degree from The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, graduating with honors. During his medical school training, he rotated through Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, which inspired him to return to Texas for advanced training. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston).
After earning board certification in internal medicine, Dr. Rehman completed two years of rheumatology training at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He stayed an extra year at UCSF, where he was a clinical investigator and researcher. During this time, he conducted clinical trials for new therapies to treat postmenopausal and glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis.
Dr. Rehman’s research involving osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and inflammatory arthritis has been published in professional journals. He also wrote content for the Textbook of Rheumatoid Arthritis and presents his work at international meetings.
In addition to fluent English, he speaks Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi. His goal is to serve the community with exceptional rheumatologic care that promotes wellness and improves their lives.
Dr. Rehman is a proud American citizen living happily in Texas with his wife and two daughters. When he’s not helping patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, taking vacations, and reading.
